In Vitro Maturation (IVM) is an assisted reproductive technology (ART) technique that involves the retrieval of immature eggs from a woman’s ovaries, followed by maturation and fertilization in a laboratory setting. This approach is an alternative to traditional in vitro fertilization (IVF) where mature eggs are collected. IVM is particularly suitable for certain groups of patients, including those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or those at risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
